What is debt counselling?
Debt counsellors operates under license from the NCR (National Credit Regulator) and are authorised to negotiate an affordable re-payment plan with all your creditors.
What arrangements can you make on my behalf?
We are legally authorised to “freeze” you debt re-payments temporarily and re-negotiate with your creditors. We will arrange one monthly payment that will pay all your combined debts.
What if I already have judgements?
That’s fine. We will handle this on your behalf.
Are my creditors obliged to accept a lesser offer?
No, but if they don’t, we have the option of going to court to obtain a court order regulating the amount you must pay, based on what you earn.
Do I need a large amount of money up front for your services?
No, we will discuss this with you after receiving your assessment.
What if I am unemployed?
If you are unemployed, we cannot assist you.
Do I need to own a home?
No. We can help you without any immoveable assets such as a house.
Do I need to attend an interview?
No, we can discuss your situation over the phone and arrange for you to sign documentation.
Will my friends and colleagues know I am receiving debt counselling?
No, they won’t know. However, we will have to communicate with all your creditors and the credit bureaus on your behalf.
